ADAA Art Show 2019 Opens in New York
The Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA)’s annually organized fair opened with a VIP benefit and gala for the Henry Street Settlement on Wednesday evening. Since the fair was founded, it has raised nearly $31 million for the non-profit social service agency. The Art Show features many first-time exhibitors, such as Kayne Griffin Corcoran (Los Angeles), Luxembourg & Dayan (New York), Jessica Silverman Gallery (San Francisco), and Venus Over Manhattan (New York). One of its founding members Castelli Gallery (New York) makes a return to the fair after more than two decades. Almost half of the fair is dedicated to solo exhibitions. Sean Kelly Gallery is displaying new works created for the fair by artist Sam Moyer and Michael Rosenfeld Gallery is showcasing the work of Henry Ossawa Tanner (1859-1937). This is the first exhibition of the artist by a New York gallery since 1967. The Art Show is on view through March 3, at the Park Avenue Armory.
