Robert Lobe’s Happy Roots (2007) is featured in New Sculpture/New Jersey, a group exhibition curated by Bryant Small at the Morris Museum. Running until winter 2024, New Sculpture/New Jersey highlights the work of eleven sculptors utilizing diverse materials, including aluminum, cold-worked glass, ceramics, and steel. Robert Lobe’s innovative sculptures, which encapsulate natural forms in aluminum, underscore the contemporary dialogue surrounding nature and art. His participation fits into the exhibition’s theme by exemplifying how modern sculptors in New Jersey engage with the intersection of organic and industrial materials, reflecting the evolving conversations about art and its relationship to the environment.
